CHIPS & SALSA
In 2010, with no background in the food industry, founder Irlanda Montes embarked on a mission to learn everything she could to see her beloved mother's salsa made to be enjoyed by everyone.
The salsa was first debuted at the Downtown Los Angeles Farmer's Market in 2011. Customer response was great, but to our surprise the chips used to sample the salsa were an even bigger hit than the salsa itself.
As the demand for chips began to grow, expanding the business became a family affair. Chicas® chips were created and different ingredients were tested to try and make the perfect chip to enjoy on their own or with any dip! Many hurdles came along in the following years, and finally in 2014 we perfected Chicas® chips and they became a huge hit at grocery stores all over the Los Angeles area!
Today our business is still family-run and continues to grow with new team members and new tasty products being delivered to over 100 locations.
